  7.         This file, README., contains the pcVMM [1] license agreement,
  8.         and gives you information on registering pcVMM.
  9.  
  10.         The file is 4 pages long.  The last page is a registration form
  11.         which you can fill out and mail in to register pcVMM.

  14.         Registration Information
  15.  
  16.              pcVMM is a copyrighted program protected by both U.S. and
  17.              international copyright law.  You are authorized to use it
  18.              without charge for a limited period of time under the terms
  19.              of the pcVMM license agreement.  After this time, you must
  20.              register and pay for pcVMM if you wish to continue using it.
  21.  
  22.              This method of distribution is known as shareware.  It
  23.              allows you to determine whether pcVMM meets your needs
  24.              before you pay for it.

  26.                Upon registration you will recieve:

  28.                o  A disk with the latest version of pcVMM, registered
  29.                   to you.
  30.  
  31.                o  Full pcVMM MSC 5.1 source code.
  32.  
  33.                o  One copy of the printed pcVMM manual.
  34.  
  35.                o  Technical support via electronic mail.

  37.                o  One free update

  39.                o  Royalty FREE

  50.           pcVMM License Agreement
  51.  
  52.              (1)  The pcVMM program and all other programs and
  53.              documentation distributed or shipped with it are
  54.              copyrighted works protected by U.S. and international
  55.              copyright law.  In the rest of this document, this
  56.              collection of programs is referred to simply as "pcVMM".
  57.              You are granted a license to use your copy of pcVMM only
  58.              under the terms and conditions specified in this license
  59.              agreement.

  61.              (2)  pcVMM is a commercial software package.  It is not
  62.              free, and it is not in the public domain.  It is
  63.              distributed as shareware, which means that before you pay
  64.              for the package, you may try it and see if you want to
  65.              continue using it.  You may use pcVMM free for a trial
  66.              period of up to 31 days.  If you wish to continue using
  67.              pcVMM after that period, you must pay a registration fee.
  68.              If you choose not to pay the registration fee, you must
  69.              stop using pcVMM and remove it from your computer, though
  70.              you are still free to keep copies and pass them along to
  71.              others.

  73.              (3)  Registered users may use pcVMM royalty free in
  74.              combination with any commercial product that the registered
  75.              user may produce.
  76.  
  77.              (4)  You may copy pcVMM for backup purposes, and you may
  78.              give copies of the unregistered version to other
  79.              individuals, which they may also use and copy under the
  80.              terms of this agreement.  If you copy the unregistered
  81.              version of pcVMM for others, you must include all of the
  82.              files distributed with it.

  84.              (5)  You may NOT give, sell, or otherwise transfer copies
  85.              of the registered version of pcVMM to any other person for
  86.              any reason.  However, you may transfer ownership of your
  87.              registered copy to another person, provided that when you
  88.              do so, you stop using pcVMM and remove it from your
  89.              computer, and notify Superior Soft of the new owner.

  91.              (6)  You may NOT distribute pcVMM other than through
  92.              individual copies of the UNREGISTERED DEMO version passed
  93.              to friends and associates for their individual use and
  94.              distribution by electronic means where no profit is
  95.              intended specific to pcVMM. Specifically, you may not
  96.              place any part of the REGISTERED pcVMM package in
  97.              any user group or commercial library without written
  98.              permission from Superior Soft, and you may not distribute
  99.              for a fee, or in any way sell copies of pcVMM or any
  100.              part of the pcVMM package.
  101.  
  102.              (7)  pcVMM is a powerful virtual memory management system.
  103.              Although we have attempted to build in reasonable safeguards,
  104.              if you do not use pcVMM properly you may destroy files or
  105.              cause other damage to your computer software and data.

  110.              You assume full responsibility for the selection and use
  111.              of pcVMM to achieve your intended results; in no event shall
  112.              Superior Soft be responsible for any damages whatsoever due
  113.              to errors in usage or your failure to read, understand, or
  114.              follow instructions in the documentation.  Superior Soft
  115.              limits its warranty to replacement of a defective program
  116.              diskette or manual.

  118.              (8)  Like all useful computer software, pcVMM may contain
  119.              errors in programs or documentation.  If you find such an
  120.              error or are otherwise dissatisfied with a registered copy
  121.              of pcVMM, you may return the entire package at any time
  122.              up to 30 days after purchase for a full refund of your
  123.              original registration fee; such a refund shall be your sole
  124.              remedy for any program error(s).  Superior Soft shall not
  125.              be liable for any other costs incurred by you due to such
  126.              errors.

  128.              (9)  If you do not agree with these terms and conditions,
  129.              you do not have permission from the copyright holder(s) to
  130.              use pcVMM, and you must stop using it and remove it from
  131.              your computer.
  132.  
  133.              (10)  Any use or distribution of pcVMM which violates this
  134.              license agreement will be considered a copyright violation,
  135.              and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
  136.  
  137.              (11)  The pcVMM source code or binary cannot be used in
  138.              itself as a stand-alone product nor can the source code be
  139.              sold in any form.
  140.  
  141.              (12)  The pcVMM source code may be used only by the
  142.              registered owner.

  145.            Limited Warranty
  146.  
  147.                 Superior Soft warrants that the pcVMM diskette and manual
  148.                 distributed to registered users are fit for the purpose for
  149.                 which they are intended.  Superior Soft will replace or
  150.                 refund the purchase price of the diskette and/or manual
  151.                 and/or any other parts or components of pcVMM found to be
  152.                 defective or not able to be used for the purpose for which
  153.                 they are intended, if such defect is the fault of Superior
  154.                 Soft and not the result of misuse or abuse, and if the
  155.                 defective items are returned to Superior Soft within the
  156.                 warranty period of one year.
  157.  
  158.                 Superior Soft makes no other warranties, expressed or
  159.                 implied, and Superior Soft's warranty is expressly limited
  160.                 to the cost of replacement of any defective diskette or
  161.                 other part.
